Description
Installing a new oil pump is essential during an engine rebuild because reusing high-mileage units carries a high risk of failure due to worn internal clearances and compromised components. Even if a used pump appears functional, the pressure relief spring may have fatigued after millions of cycles, and sacrificial centering nodes on front-mounted pumps are often deformed, making proper installation difficult or impossible.
