Schaeffer’s Moly E.P. Extreme Pressure Oil Treatment is a fortified extreme pressure engine oil treatment containing a highly specialized additive package.

To complement this highly specialized additive package a proven frictional modifier, Schaeffer also blends Micron Moly® into the oil treatment. Micron Moly® is a liquid soluble type of moly that plates to the metal surfaces of the engine.

Once plated, the moly forms a long lasting lubricant film in which prevents the metal surfaces from coming into contact with each other. By preventing metal to metal contact, damaging frictional wear is eliminated, which leads to less downtime and longer equipment life.

What is Moly?

Moly (molybdenum disulfide) is an inorganic compound made of one molybdenum atom bonded to two sulfur atoms. It occurs naturally as molybdenite and has a hexagonal crystal structure similar to graphite, with strong internal bonds but weak bonds between layers. This allows the layers to slide easily over each other, creating a low-friction, sacrificial protective film on metal surfaces.

Recommended Ratio

Mix 1 pint of Schaeffer’s Moly E.P. Extreme Pressure Oil Treatment to every 5 quarts of engine oil.
